It is with great pleasure that Allison and I write on behalf of our buyer’s agent, Angie Brazell. While I am somewhat embarrassed at having procrastinated so long in returning the survey and adding our own words of appreciation, I hope that you and Angie take it as an additional compliment that our experience with her is still a high point of our new home purchase 3 months later.

 Angie was referred to us by our selling agent in Summerville, SC. We nearly passed on the opportunity of working with her, intending to purchase new construction and dealing directly with the sales office. What a mistake that would have been; Angie responded professionally and convincingly during our initial contact to our skeptical questions about the need for a buyer’s agent in our situation. She displayed that same professionalism repeatedly during our building experience.

For nearly 5 stressful months while Allison and I were awaiting the sale of our old home and dealing with the builder of the new, adjusting to a new job and settling into temporary living arrangements, Angie was an invaluable ally. Filling the many roles of advisor, negotiator, voice of reason, and, of course, Realtor, Angie was able to help us through a very challenging period. With her enthusiasm and highly personable demeanor, it truly felt as though we had a “friend in the business”.

Allison and I became frustrated on numerous occasions with construction problems that ranged from careless omissions and damage to blueprint and option deviations. It was during those times that Angie was able to use both her professional relationships and firm negotiating skills to resolve those issues to our complete satisfaction. She was also reassuringly rational in helping us to feel comfortable with our expectations when we may have otherwise felt unreasonable, and tactfully indicating if we were headed in that direction. Without Angie in our corner I have no doubt we would be far less satisfied with our home.

 At least twice during our construction – including the week prior to our close date – Allison and I became so discouraged with the builder and construction errors that we revisited our new home search. Angie listened to our wish list and provided an excellent listing of alternative homes, without hesitation and fully supportive of our willingness to start over if necessary. From construction site visits to final walkthroughs, home inspections to closing, Angie took a sincere interest and spent countless hours working with us to ensure that we would close on a home that we loved.

I have provided Angie’s name and agency information to our recruiters at my employer, Hubbell Lighting. Allison and I would recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding Realtor, and wish to express our gratitude for all of her time and effort involved in navigating our home construction and purchase experience.

In November of 2006, I was relocated with my job to Massachusetts. I had to sell my home in Simpsonville, SC quickly. As John was the agent that helped us find the home, I knew he was the agent to list my home. I had 90 days to sell my home and had to move to Massachusetts immediately. We were a little worried as the market during that time of the year doesn’t lend well to sellers, however John reassured us that he would sell it within the 90 days – and he did! He took care of all the small details that we couldn’t spend the time to take care of ourselves. He scheduled all the inspections, repairs – he did it all. Angie was extremely helpful & accommodating. I work 11AM – 8PM M-F and she worked around my schedule to find the perfect home. She was always available and very knowledgeable. When I listed my house for sale, I didn’t think it really mattered as to what realtor I listed with. I found out that it matters a great deal. Bowen Brazell & Associates really changed my thinking on the importance of selecting the right realtor. John served as the real estate agent for my wife and I when we sold our home. John helped us to sell our house in an expedient manner and showed great dedication to us as his real estate clients. Even though our house was small, John worked hard to see that we sold it quickly and at a reasonable price.
